Salima Village

Lilongwe, Malawi

“Salima Village,” a self-contained property located at the rear of the Children of the Nations Njewa Ministry Center in Malawi, is designed to resemble a traditional African village.

The village consists of eight thatched-roof huts, an open-air gazebo that serves as a central meeting place, a bathroom, and a dining hall. Each hut, which sleeps 4 to 6 guests in bunk beds, has electricity and a sink with running water.

The community bathroom (one side for men, the other for women, both cleaned daily) is equipped with running water, Western-style toilets, showers, and deep sinks (for washing and also for doing laundry). The community dining hall next door serves the needs of all guests. Salima Village is fully enclosed by electric security wire and staffed with 24-hour guards.

Salima Village hosts approximately 150 Venture participants per year, with plenty of room for growth. The area is also rented out for youth camps/retreats and used by our children and staff.
