Haiti Village Partnership Program

Bellevue, Haiti

The community of Bellevue is located about fifteen miles west of Haiti’s capital, Port-au-Prince. This area was the epicenter of Haiti’s devastating earthquake in January 2010. Many families in this region lost their homes and suffered injuries during the catastrophe.

Many families in Bellevue struggle to earn an income, and because of this, cannot afford to send their children to school or provide them with adequate food and other resources. With the support of generous partners, COTN is working alongside the people of Bellevue to improve the lives of the neediest children in this community.

Bellevue Village Partnership Program Details
Our Bellevue Village Partnership Program officially launched in October 2012, when we welcomed the first 75 sponsored children into the program. Sponsorship provides these children with an education, daily nutrition, spiritual encouragement, and much-needed resources like soap, school supplies, and clothing. As this Village Partnership continues to develop, COTN plans to eventually build a school and medical clinic to better serve the children of Bellevue.

Our Village Partnership Program in Bellevue is a community-based ministry that comes alongside local leaders to provide training, education, spiritual encouragement, and resources empowering them to raise their children and reach their goal of self-sustainability. Working with the local leadership of Bellevue, Children of the Nations has assessed the unique needs of this community, and is working to establish programs and strategies to best meet these needs.
