(MA) Waste and Drainage System

Our campus in Malawi, including the International Christian Academy (ICA), needs a better drainage and waste disposal system. Standing rain water makes the campus difficult to navigate and attracts mosquitos, and ICA needs a new septic system to prevent spills. Your gift will make sure that the students at ICA have a hygienic septic system and will keep our campus free of dirty water. Thank you for helping our children and staff stay safe and healthy!

Big John’s Primary School and the International Christian Academy (ICA) need more desks. 
 
At both schools, some students must sit on the floor, which is uncomfortable and makes it difficult for them to concentrate. And when students can’t concentrate, they don’t perform well in school or enjoy their classes. 
 
Your gift will provide 100 double desks so that 200 children at Big John’s and ICA will have comfortable places to sit during school.

The International Christian Academy (ICA) in Malawi is a secondary school that provides a quality education to both the children in our program and those in the community.
 
But there aren’t enough textbooks for all the students at ICA.
 
Right now, there is a student-to-textbook ratio of 4-to-1. Students have to share textbooks between them, which can make studying difficult.

Big John’s Primary School in Malawi provides a quality education for children up to 8th grade. 
 
But there are not enough textbooks for all the 7th and 8th grade students at Big John’s. In some classes, there are five students using a single textbook. This lack of books makes it difficult for the children at Big John’s to focus in class and or perform well on their exams. 
 
Your generous gift will make sure that every student at Big John’s has the textbooks they need to perform well in school.

Emergency Medical Care for Children in Need

Your generous gift today will help a sick child like Amidu.

Amidu was brought to Children of the Nations’ Sierra Leone clinic with a dangerously high fever, vomiting and weak.

Tests revealed a familiar enemy: malaria.

Malaria causes fever and flu-like symptoms. Without treatment, it can lead to seizures, organ failure, and even death—and children, like Amidu, are particularly at risk.

Malaria is treatable. But it’s hard for a child living in poverty to get the medical care they need.
