Through your caring support, 379 young men and women are seeing a world of opportunities open up before them as they attend universities, colleges, vocational schools and skills centers this year. Their dreams of making a positive impact on their families, communities and nations is becoming a reality as they prepare themselves for the future. Thank you for providing these opportunities by giving toward this scholarship fund!
Your generous gift toward this scholarship fund will help provide a variety of benefits and services for students, including tuition, room and board, books, materials, travel expenses (depending on the individual student's need). The University/Vocational student sponsorship program provides about 75% of the funds needed to meet the needs of these students. Scholarships supplement the sponsorship program for those students who do not have sponsors or who need additional support.
Total Need for 2024: 63 scholarships @ $3600 per student ($226,800)
Our University/Vocational Program consists of two phases:
Phase One: Gap Assignment – Students spend several months interning in an area of interest related to their field of study, gaining practical work experience that prepares them for the next phase of their education. This also helps in their personal growth and lets them contribute to their community in a meaningful way.
Phase Two: Attend a University or Vocational School – After completing the gap assignment, students begin their course of study in school. The length of time they spend in this phase depends on their school and area of study.
Graduates of the University/Vocational Program have already become doctors, teachers, and other professionals. As our students graduate, they will be better equipped to make a positive impact on their communities and nations.
