Your support can provide 716 children with clean, safe meals and a healthier learning environment.
In Mgwayi and Chilombo, Malawi, nursery school children rely on porridge and meals cooked in open spaces. This exposes them to airborne diseases, dirt, and unsafe conditions, especially during rainy and hot seasons. Additionally, cooks struggle to prepare meals when firewood gets wet, and children often miss out on nutritious food.
Without proper kitchens, these children face health risks and miss the nourishment they need to grow, learn, and thrive.
This project will build safe, functional kitchens at both Mgwayi and Chilombo Centers, ensuring:
Clean, hygienic meals for 160 nursery school children daily.
Safe cooking conditions for staff, protecting them from harsh weather.
Reliable meals for 556 Village Partnership Program (VPP) children during temporary feeding programs and special events.
These kitchens will provide a conducive cooking space, ensuring that children receive the nutrition they need in a safe and healthy environment.
Your support will directly benefit:
160 nursery school children who will receive clean, safe meals every day.
556 VPP children who will benefit during feeding programs and special events.
