In Sierra Leone, students take the West Africa Secondary School Certificate Exam (WASSCE) when they finish high school. This exam determines whether or not our students can go to university.
Students can take the public WASSCE for free, or they can take a private, paid test.
The public test has limited spots. Test results are lost or given to the wrong student. Fewer students pass when they take the public WASSCE. Students who study diligently and work hard fail—all because they receive the wrong test due to corruption in the government.
With your help, we want to give our secondary students the chance to take the private WASSCE. Their tests will be handled properly. The students won’t depend on corrupt government officials for their results.
Thank you for helping the students of Sierra Leone take their exams! Your gift will make sure that more of our students are able to go to university and pursue their dreams.
