This academic year has been one of the strongest academic years for COTN's Junior Secondary School in Sierra Leone.

This is greatly due to Rebecca, Sarah, and Promise, the three Malawi Global Volunteers who have been teaching in our school. They have modeled a professional teacher attitude by always coming to school on time, being prepared for class with their lesson notes, dressing professionally, and participating in all required meetings and school activities.
They are also very gifted teachers. They find ways to engage their students and they make learning fun. They are committed to their students and want to ensure that all students succeed. They have even offered extra lessons after school for students.
In order for the positive changes to carry over to next year, it is recommended that the Malawi Global Volunteers are invited back to teach for another year. This will help solidify the standard that was set by these teachers, and will provide a sense of consistency for the students.
Rebecca, Sarah, and Promise have all expressed a desire to return next year to continue teaching in Sierra Leone. When asked if she would want to return for another academic year Sarah expressed, “We like the idea since we are in love with Sierra Leone now especially the kids. We are sad to leave them.”
Your gift today will enable these three gifted teachers to continue teaching the students and modeling professional behavior to other teachers for the 2017-18 school year.
