(UG) Primary School Band

Our primary school has developed greatly in the last few years. To continue to grow and improve the education of our children, COTN Nursery and Primary School would like to begin a school band.  

Research has shown that people who are involved in music education see an increase in their academic performance. Our children in Uganda are very involved in singing and dancing, but have had limited opportunities to learn band instruments. We would like to change that in the near future.  

Our children will learn how to play the instruments and be given many opportunities to perform not only for COTN, but for community functions as well. In addition, this project will also be a small step toward sustainability as COTN-Uganda will be able to earn income as the students play music for community programs.
