COTN’s clinic in the Dominican Republic serves many purposes that benefit not only the local people but also visiting medical teams. But as the need for services grows, the clinic must grow as well.
Our goal is to expand the clinic to better serve the local community and help medical teams operate more efficiently and effectively. The clinic expansion plan has two phases.
In Phase One, we plan to hire a sustainability consultant to develop a business plan for the clinic. We will also maximize the functionality of the current space by building a supply room, a kitchen and dining room, a laundry room, and a dressing room/bathroom. We will also relocate the sterilization room, purchase supplies, and obtain surgical licensing from the government. Cost of phase 1: $283,595.
In Phase Two, we plan to renovate the current clinic space, recondition the patio and gazebo, and build a warehouse. Cost of phase 2: $81,912.
