Seattle Pacific University Women's Basketball Team Feeds and Sponsors Young Dominican Athletes United States

Seattle, WA – December 13, 2011 – The Seattle Pacific University women's basketball team packaged 6,550 meals for hungry children in Africa and the Dominican Republic. The women raised $1,500 to help Children of the Nations (COTN), a local non-profit, ship the meals to the children they serve. At the end of the event, four women decided to make long-term commitments to sponsor young athletes in the Dominican Republic through COTN's I Love Baseball program.

Poulsbo's Dr. Michael Jungkeit Performs Free Surgery on Former Children of the Nations Employee United States

Poulsbo, WA – August 8, 2011 – Doctor Michael Jungkeit, founder of North Kitsap Ear, Nose and Throat in Poulsbo, Washington, performed an eyelid surgery on former Children of the Nations (COTN) employee Edward Olara this week, free of charge. The procedure involved grafting a piece of skin from underneath Olara’s ear onto his left eyelid. Olara lost part of his eyelid in a car crash in Uganda in September 2006. He also suffered burns on his face and loss of vision in his left eye as a result of the accident.

San Diego Church Raises $220,000 for Children of the Nations United States

Silverdale, WA – April 27, 2011 – Long-time Children of the Nations (COTN) partner Flood Church of San Diego, CA, recently raised $219,991.12 for COTN’s ministry in Haiti. Members of the church raised the entire sum during a four-week period following Flood Pastor Matt Hammett’s March visit to Haiti with COTN Founder Chris Clark. The goal Flood originally set for the campaign was $100,000.

COTN is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising children who transform nations. Marathon Event to Package Over 100,000 Meals United States
