Children of the Nations (COTN) along with its partners, has been preparing for last week’s inevitable announcement: six countries in southern Africa have declared a national state of disaster due to a severe drought that has caused widespread food shortages.

Silverdale, Washington – July 23, 2012 – Two Malawian university students sponsored through Children of the Nations' University Program were chosen to represent Malawi at the Confederation of University and College Sports Associations international tournament in Namibia last week.  The top players from each university in Malawi are selected yearly to try out for a place on the team. Lovemore Chisale and Francis Kalima, students at African Bible College in Malawi, made the cut, and earned the privilege to represent their nation at the international tournament on July 16, 2012.
