Orange County's Richard Feld, Esq. Appointed Chairman of Children of the Nations–USA Board of Directors

Silverdale, WA – April 30, 2012 – The Children of the Nations (COTN) USA Board of Directors appointed Richard Feld, Esq., of Orange County, California, as its new chairman.  Richard Feld is a practicing attorney with over twenty-five years of experience as general counsel for numerous development companies.  After graduating with a bachelor of science degree from the University of California, Irvine, he earned a juris doctorate from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he was a Tony Patino Fellowship winner.

Feld became an advocate for the orphaned and destitute children of Africa and the Caribbean after a life-changing trip with COTN to Malawi in 2004.  Recalling his first tour of the Malawian community with COTN founder Chris Clark, Feld says, "It was the scariest day of my life." Feld was deeply impacted by the things he saw and the children he met on that tour.  "I became a Christian that day," he says.

Upon returning from his initial trip, Feld began mobilizing his community to support COTN's ministries abroad.  Feld returned to Malawi in 2005 to help coordinate a pastors conference of over 300 Malawian pastors.  In 2007, he led a team back to Malawi.  Feld joined the COTN–USA Board of Directors in 2009, and stepped into his role as chairman on April 28, 2012.
