So You're a Sponsor—Now What? Four Ways to Make the Most of It

So you've made the commitment to sponsor a child. Thank you! If you're new to this experience (or, even if you've been around for a while), you might be asking, "Now what?"

Here are four easy ways you can make the most of your sponsorship experience, for you and your sponsored child.

1. Write to your child

Every time you write to your child, an in-country staff member will help them write back. This may take awhile (see why here), but it's well worth it! Letters are a great way to start a relationship with your child. You can also send photos, stickers, and other small gifts that fit into a 6-by-9-inch envelope. 2.  Visit your child

Join a Venture Team traveling to your child's country

You can meet your sponsored child in person! Join a Venture Team traveling to your child's country, and our in-country staff will make sure you get a chance to meet them. We even have special trips just for sponsors to meet their children

3. Sign up for updates on your child's country
