Photos from the 2014 Run for Africa

It was inspiring to see hundreds of people come together to raise money to build a library for children in Malawi at our 6th Annual Run for Africa 5K in Winter Springs, Florida. Even if you couldn’t join us for the event, we hope you’ll enjoy these pictures! (See the full album on Facebook.)

The day began with a heart-pumping warm-up, courtesy of Kirsten Evans of Baby Boot Camp Orlando.
Gotta loosen up before the big run.
                                                                            Ready, set, race!
The runners didn’t let the Florida heat slow them down.
With a time of just 15 minutes and 27 seconds, the winner was Fredison Costa!
But it was the children’s race that stole the show.
There were lots of fun things for the runners to do before and after the race.
Resting and recharging after the race.
First place in the 70-and-over women's group. She really earned that medal and the snack in her belt.
A big thank-you to all our vendors who set up booths and made this race even more fun! Hunter Vision, Fit to Run, Orlando Acupuncture, Market Colors, Integrated Physical Medicine, Shaklee, Florida Vitamin Store, Bashful Bliss, Planet Smoothie, and Chosen Marathon.
The race may be over, but you can still help build a library for the children in Malawi.
