A Farewell to Long-time Staff Member

06/15/08

Doug Hanson, Senior Director of our Venture and Feeding Programs, announced last month that he would be leaving COTN to start a new season in his family’s life. Last month, at a bittersweet celebration we bid farewell to Doug. Over the last seven years, Doug has overseen and developed COTN’s Venture Program (short-term missions) and Feeding Programs. During that time Doug has had the opportunity to minister in each of our four countries (Malawi, Sierra Leone, Uganda, and the Dominican Republic), working alongside our international staffs as well as visiting teams. As the Senior Director of the Venture Program, Doug and staff have worked with literally thousands of individuals—interns, short-term teams, missionaries, and associates. He has also been privileged to walk alongside many individuals that felt God’s calling upon their life to pursue their new found passion after such a trip.

Doug’s efforts and service to our children have left an indelible mark with COTN. He will be greatly missed. Join us in praying for Doug and his wife Lori and their three children as they step into a new season in their lives. We are so grateful for their service to children.

“The past seven years with COTN have been an exciting adventure and I am excited to see where God leads this ministry!” says Doug. We are equally excited to see where God leads Doug!
