IronMan4Africa – Triathalon to Raise Funds for COTN

06/04/08

On June 22, 2008, in an effort to raise funds and awareness for Children of the Nations, COTN partner Brian Owen will undertake the challenge of competing in his first Ironman Triathlon: Ironman Coeur d’Alene, in Idaho.

After spending a life-changing two weeks in Malawi, Africa serving with COTN in 2007, God laid it on Brian’s heart to dedicate this personal challenge to COTN. “As I train for Ironman Coeur d’Alene I have partnered with the Janus Charity Challenge and I hope to raise at least $25,000 for COTN,” says Brian. To date, Brian is almost halfway to his goal—he’s raised almost $10,000.

“My fundraising is picking up and I am heading toward my goal of $25,000,” says Brian. “I don’t know if I will make it, but I do know that I believe in a big God and with him all things are possible. Even if I don’t reach the goal, I know every dollar he will multiply for the benefit of the children in Africa. Thanks to all who have graciously donated to this cause.”
