Photos from Your Child’s Summer Camp in Sierra Leone

Children of the Nations recently hosted four 3-day summer camps in Sierra Leone, one youth camp and three children’s camps. The camps were led by in-country staff and COTN Venture team members. Activities at camp included listening to God’s Word being preached, games, skits, dancing, Bible quizzes, soccer matches, arts and crafts, and worship music.

The theme for the youth camp was “Pleasing God through obedience.”

The key Scripture for the youth camp was Matthew 7:24–29: “‘Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.’ When Jesus had finished these words, the crowds were amazed at His teaching; for He was teaching them as one having authority, and not as their scribes.”

The theme for all three children’s camps was “Honoring those in authority over you brings blessing and glory to the Lord.”

The key Scripture for all the children’s camps was Ephesians 6:1–3: “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother (which is the first commandment with a promise), so that it may be well with you, and that you may live long on the earth.”

At the end of the camps, prizes were awarded to the best-behaved team and camper, best-organized camp leader, best quizzer, best relay teams, best soccer player, highest goal scorer, and best actor in the skits.

Breakfast, snacks, and lunch were served at all camps. Our youth camps had 222 attendees, and in total, 530 children attended our summer camps. Many students accepted Christ for the first time.

All this is because of your generosity. Thank you!

P.S. If you want to see even more children experience God’s love through camp, please give to the Million Dollar Challenge. For a limited time, your gift will be matched and your impact will be doubled!
