When you’re part of a ministry, it can be hard to find ways to grow that ministry—because you’re so busy engaged in it! But growing your ministry doesn’t have to be hard. In fact, it can be easy.
Here are three ways partnerships can unlock new growth for your ministry:
1. SmilePack Events
People want to be involved in doing service projects that actually have meaning. You can get your community together to host a SmilePack event. It’s a fun and simple way to help children in need.
SmilePacks are two-gallon plastic bags full of items that children need. You have the choice of packing and sending Hygiene, School, Bible, or Let’s Eat SmilePacks.
There are three easy steps:
• Choose what type of SmilePack option to make
• Spread the word
• Gather the items (including $5 per SmilePack to cover shipping)

Anyone can drop off donated items, even if they can’t come to the packing party, says Robin Shealy, the Interim Children's Ministry Director at Sammamish Hills Lutheran Church.
“The actual packing happens so fast—we spend weeks getting donations, a chunk of time organizing everything on tables and setting up, and then poof! They are packed and the whole thing is over,” says Anna Morris, Director of Student Ministries at SHLC. “I just love it all.”
You can even get photos and updates of the SmilePacks being handed out in Africa or the Caribbean so your group can see the difference they made.

2. Meal Packaging Events
Did you know it only takes 29 cents to give a child a meal in Africa? Imagine your church or school providing 40,000 meals for hungry children. Meal packaging events are a great way to bring together lots of people and make a difference in so many children’s lives.
When a child comes from extreme poverty and doesn’t know where their next meal is coming from, they can’t think about school or much else. They are just trying to survive.
That’s where you come in. You can meet this huge need and feed hungry children in Sierra Leone.
Here’s how you get started:
• Spread the word and invite people to pack meals
• We set up the assembly tables with the ingredients and materials
• Everyone packs the meals at one fun event!
We will walk with you every step of the way from organizing the event, providing ingredients and packing gear, and running logistics for the event.

These events are a great way to feed hungry children and get people involved with global missions. It’s also an easy way for your ministry to grow its outreach and invite new people to join you.
“It was so fun getting to serve alongside friends and experience what it means to be a servant,” Kayla-Kahaunani Sunada says about a meal packaging event she helped at. “I made some new friends as well and got to connect with people I never would have met otherwise.”
Anyone can pack meals—this is truly an event for everyone. At our events, we’ve had six-year-olds run the meal packs between tables and 90-year-olds in wheelchairs weighing and sealing. Mothers have even packed meals with babies strapped to their backs!
These events are often done in a gymnasium, park, or even a parking lot. They can be done anywhere and are a chance for people to invite friends and neighbors to join in.
You’ll also be able to see the change you made with photos and updates when the meals arrive to children in Sierra Leone.

3. Host a Night of Worship at your Church!
Come together to worship and change children’s lives! At Night of Worship events, the band For All Seasons will lead worship and your community can learn about sponsoring a child.
This special event can happen right in your church’s worship space or sanctuary. We will help you prepare, spread the word, and team up with your staff to create an unforgettable event.

A Night of Worship is a powerful event that can grow your ministry and change the lives of children who need it most. Plus, For All Seasons can lead worship Sunday morning at your church (and give your worship team a much-deserved break)!
It’s also a great event to invite neighbors, friends, and family into your church.
“[A Night of Worship] is a beautiful partnership between the musicians and kids that need sponsorship,” a member of Peninsula Bible Fellowship says. “I remember we sponsored our child from Malawi that weekend.”
Hosting a Night of Worship at your church can help you discover new growth for your ministry and meet the needs of vulnerable children—all in one night.
