Summary: 
The IT Assistant is primarily responsible with providing support for our internal users on the use of their desktops and laptops in our Silverdale office. They provide direct contact with end users to help the helpdesk provide users with solutions to issues with their computer hardware and software.
Responsibilities: 
  • -Projects: Participate in exciting projects that will make a huge impact in the lives of the children we support. We always have a need for IT expertise in areas such as building student computer labs to be sent to our countries or refurbishing old laptops to be donated to school children.
  • -Level I Help Desk Support: limited assistance with walking users through basic troubleshooting steps, desktop and laptop builds, printer support
  • -Level II Help Desk Support: Including but not limited to anti-virus assistance, Windows 10 support, Microsoft Office 2010 support, general laptop, desktop and printer repair, and light network troubleshooting
  • -Ticket Management: provide timely and transparent customer support of all requests
  • -Preventative Maintenance: checking on critical systems to ensure there are no interruptions in business continuity and take part in the monthly maintenance
Skills and Qualifications: 
  • -Experience in help desk/desktop support position
  • -College degree or equivalent certification or experience
  • -Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Office and others as needed
  • -Strong written and interpersonal skills
  • -Customer service experience
  • -Able to work independently within a team environment
