The Marketing Coordinator supports all aspects of marketing, communications, and fundraising at COTN by assisting in the creation and coordination of materials and activities for donors, partner organizations, and other departments. This position will also serve as project manager for the marketing department and will report directly to the acting Director of Marketing (VP of Operations).
  • Serve as project manager for communications and marketing projects, keeping staff organized and on time.
  • Act as the main point of contact for project requests from other departments.
  • Provide support and direction for marketing production meetings.
  • Collaborate with other departments to help maximize fundraising opportunities and provide materials to help launch initiatives.
  • Manage inventory of communications and marketing supplies (envelopes, brochures, collateral pieces, banners, receipt templates, etc.).
  • Create and send out weekly internal staff memo (“This Week at COTN”).
  • Manage relationships with print vendors, freelancers, department volunteers, and event-related vendors and venues.
  • Help monitor fundraising analytics.
  • Collaborate with the Event Coordinator to support and assist in organizing major COTN fundraising events and activities (e.g., banquets, community fundraisers, etc.).
  • Help manage COTN’s social media accounts along with other staff.
  • Adhere to COTN policies and procedures (including, but not limited to, those set forth in new hire documents, employee handbook, Corporate Identity Guide, and Editorial Style Guide).

Skills and Qualifications: 
  • Highly organized.

  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining focus on priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Adobe suite, and MailChimp or similar software programs preferred.
  • 1 – 3 years of experience in communications and marketing preferred.
  • Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Social media management experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles and practice a plus
