Summary: 
The Marketing Manager is responsible for executing the marketing strategy for Children of the Nations (COTN), which includes acquisition and engagement opportunities to reach targeted groups and messaging that compels people to move the mission forward. This role will provide leadership and management to the marketing team and work collaboratively with the Director of Development to set annual goals for the Marketing team in alignment with the marketing strategy and COTN’s mission and vision.
Responsibilities: 
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Development to set annual goals for the Marketing Team in alignment with the marketing strategy.
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Development to create annual Marketing Calendars (outlines all newsletters, appeals, and reports) in alignment with annual goals.
  • Develop and implement strategic short and long-term marketing campaigns.
  • Manage Marketing staff, volunteers, freelancers, consultants, and local interns (includes planning for needs, writing proposals, recruiting/mobilizing, annual evaluation of staff, professional development of staff).
  • Manage annual Marketing budget, including approval of Marketing expenses.
  • Oversee content creation, structure, and functionality of COTN website.
  • Oversee Google analytics and MailChimp analysis.
  • Collect, track, and analyze key social media data. Identify themes and aggregate data – create monthly social media report for the Director of Development.
  • Work in collaboration with Department Heads to produce tools that support strategic needs in Advancement.
  • Work collaboratively with International Development Branch staff to gather information for creating compelling Marketing materials that deepen partner engagement.
  • Improve marketing segmentation and ongoing partner analysis.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all platforms. Oversee updates to COTN Corporate Identity Guide and Editorial Style Guide.
  • Provide information to Director of Development for quarterly COTNI Board Reports.
  • Edit and approve Marketing copy, ensuring accuracy of information, correct grammar, and readability. Ensure all Marketing copy is compelling and done with excellence.
  • Build partnerships with social influencers, expand the brand of COTN, and work with the Marketing Team to acquire new donors through social media platforms.
  • Effectively and passionately articulate the mission and vision of COTN

  • B.S./B.A. degree or equivalent
