On February 7th, father-son team George & Aaron Faucher set out to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world. The Fauchers are climbing to benefit the people of the neighboring country of Uganda. George, along with his wife Suzanne, are excited specifically about the ministry being done in Uganda through Children of the Nations (COTN).

Since 2005, COTN has been building relationships with Ugandans through a Village Partnership Program and Children’s Homes, both programs designed to specifically meet the needs of orphaned and destitute children. COTN New England has embarked on a project to deliver a forty foot container of critically needed supplies to Ugandan children in the village Anai-Okii, located in northern Uganda, near the city of Lira. Your tax-deductible donation will directly support this COTN initiative underway in New England to collect, ship and deliver a container of what is needed most…food, clothing, medical and hygiene supplies, classroom supplies, etc…all to give hope to the children of Anai-Okii.

COTN's approach is unique in that it is not a relief or “handout” program, but rather a “hand up.” This community-based ministry provides opportunities for partnership, empowering local people with the resources and training to raise and provide for their own children and better their communities. COTN has received the excellent 4-Star Rating with Charity Navigator, so you can rest assured that you will be partnering with a reliable and financially transparent non-profit organization.
