(UG) Water Extension Project

Project Country:
Uganda

We are blessed to continue construction on the secondary school campus of COTN-Uganda. The latrines project was just finished as well as a solar pump for one of the wells on campus. Because both of these projects have just finished, we would like to connect the newly constructed latrines and the existing staff latrines to the solar pump so they will have running water.

At the moment, we are pumping water by hand and filling drums to keep water going in these two bathrooms.

COTN-Uganda is excited to move forward with plans of a computer lab for Marani Honors High School. Currently, our students are leaving secondary school without learning even basic computer skills.

But once our children enter university, they are expected to know how to use a computer to research and write papers. In addition, the secondary curriculum for Uganda does identify computer classes as an important part of secondary education. However, we can’t complete this part of the government curriculum because we don’t have the resources needed.

COTN's Village Partnership Program in Algodon does not have the space for storage of books for student use. In order to encourage reading, the school would like to have a library. Your generous gift will make this possible!

Our plan is to build a second floor on an existing building and use the space as a library. Students could come individually and as a class to use the library facilities.
