Children of the Nations

Children of the Nations–UK and Ireland was launched in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in 2012. Since that time, our growing group of supporters have been incredibly faithful in sharing their talents and resources with the children we serve together, inspired by our vision of raising children who transform nations.

Kibble Ngalauka

COTN–Malawi Country Director

Mr. Ngalauka comes to us with decades of experience in leadership and management in the nonprofit sector including time spent at World Vision, The Red Cross, and the Sue Ryder Foundation. He is soon to be awarded a PhD in sociology, has a master's degree in social development and health, and a bachelor's degree in rural development. In addition, he has done other studies in development administration as well as his original training in clinical medicine. 

Mark W. Costa

Senior Director of National Marketing and Community Development

As Senior Director of National Marketing and Community Development, Mark oversees all elements of internal and external marketing communications, community media relations, and strategic event planning for Children of the Nations.

Sahr Yambasu

COTN–Sierra Leone Country Director

Sahr Mormakoe Yambasu joined the ministry of Children of the Nations (COTN) in June of 2013. He comes to COTN with a passion to see community people participating in their own development process by helping to raise up a generation of Christ-centered leaders. 

Francisco Tejeda

COTN–Dominican Republic Country Director

Francisco Tejeda came to the Lord in his teens, and immediately responded to a call to work in the ministry of teaching the Word of God. Since then Francisco has thrown himself passionately toward the cause of doing God’s work, becoming the regional youth director of the Church of God, Inc. (Iglesias de Dios) and a founding member of the Christian congregation Rio de Dios.

Jody Stephenson currently serves as COTN’s USA Venture Director, overseeing the mobilization of volunteers who apply to serve for a specific period of time in one of the countries where COTN does ministry.

Reneé Schertzer is the Finance Director at COTN, encompassing all aspects of the ministry's day-to-day, overall and annual financial management.

Resource Director

As Resource Director at Children of the Nations (COTN), Dave Schertzer’s responsibilities include organizing donations and shipping containers to Africa and the Dominican Republic, managing the USA offices and serving as the project manager in various areas throughout the ministry.
