Wordless Wednesday

Wordless Wednesday: Summer Fun

Do you need a hump day pick-me-up? Something to make you smile? Something to get you in the mood for the summer?

Children of the Nations is here to help! Enjoy these adorable photos of children rocking some sunglasses—we dare you not to smile!

Wordless Wednesday: Dance Break!

COTN children and staff love to dance. Dancing has an important place in the culture of each COTN country. Below you will find photos of traditional dances and contemporary choreography; you'll see young women showing off their ability to balance pots on their heads and crowds dancing with chairs. Any time there's something to celebrate, there's a reason to dance.

Wordless Wednesday: Happy Valentine's Day

It’s a day to celebrate love—whether it’s romantic love, familial love, or friendship. And we want to celebrate all the ways you share God’s love with children in need.

As a small thank-you, here are some adorable photos straight from our heart to yours! Happy Valentine’s Day!

Wordless Wednesday: Adorable Photos of Children with Animals

Who doesn’t love cute animal photos? We sure do!

And at COTN, animals like goats, cows, pigs, rabbits, and chickens aren’t just photographic opportunities. They’re also an important part of keeping our children strong and healthy and teaching them skills that will allow them to care for themselves and be a blessing to others.

Wordless Wednesday: Summer Camp in Haiti

Summertime means camp time in each of the countries where we serve. Recently, a Venture Team from San Diego went to Haiti to help put on a summer camp for our children there. Fortunately, they took a bunch of photos of the fun and games. Here are some of the best ones. Enjoy!

Wordless Wednesday: Sponsor Photos

Last summer was our first-ever sponsorship campaign. As new sponsors signed up to help reach the goal of 500 sponsors, we counted them and asked them to take a fun photo with their number.

Here are some of the best photos from last year. This year, we hope to see these numbers go up to 750! What number will you be?

Wordless Wednesday: Saturday Market

Since Children of the Nations started ministry in Ngolala, Sierra Leone, a lively Saturday market has developed. It's a gathering place where children and adults alike flock every week to buy and sell goods, catch up on local news, or goof around.

Wordless Wednesday: Mission Trips

Summer is the season for mission trips (or, as we like to call them, Venture Trips). In the next few months, a lot of you will be traveling to Africa or the Caribbean to visit your sponsored child, provide medical care to kids, build roofs, share the gospel, and more.

What motivates you to go?

Wordless Wednesday: Good Friends

“Two are better than one … if either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10)

Wordless Wednesday: Photos on the Wall

A lot of talented photographers go on short-term mission trips to our ministry sites, and we're fortunate that many of them share their pictures with us. These are a few of our favorites from one such trip to the Dominican Republic. In fact, some of these adorn our walls here at the COTN office.

We hope you like them as much as we do. Tell us what you think, in the comments section below.
