Wordless Wednesday: I Love Baseball

Did you know that COTN has a baseball training program in the Dominican Republic? The vision of our I Love Baseball® (ILB) program is to give Dominican youth a place where they can pursue their dream of playing professional baseball while also getting an education, living a balanced life socially, building strong moral character, and growing mentally, physically, and spiritually.

Wordless Wednesday: Sponsor Photos

Last summer was our first-ever sponsorship campaign. As new sponsors signed up to help reach the goal of 500 sponsors, we counted them and asked them to take a fun photo with their number.

Here are some of the best photos from last year. This year, we hope to see these numbers go up to 750! What number will you be?

Wordless Wednesday: Saturday Market

Since Children of the Nations started ministry in Ngolala, Sierra Leone, a lively Saturday market has developed. It's a gathering place where children and adults alike flock every week to buy and sell goods, catch up on local news, or goof around.

Wordless Wednesday: Lunchtime in Uganda

Making lunch at our school in Uganda isn’t a job for the faint of heart. These guys are cooking to feed about 300 children.

Wordless Wednesday: Smiles from Haiti

Our previous Wordless Wednesday post about Haiti took a look at this country's serious side. But thanks to all of you who support COTN's ministry, the children of Haiti have a reason to smile. And they're ready to show those smiles off!

Wordless Wednesday: Mission Trips

Summer is the season for mission trips (or, as we like to call them, Venture Trips). In the next few months, a lot of you will be traveling to Africa or the Caribbean to visit your sponsored child, provide medical care to kids, build roofs, share the gospel, and more.

What motivates you to go?

Wordless Wednesday: Nail Party

It's amazing how a few bottles of nail polish and an hour or two can turn absolute strangers into the best of friends in Sierra Leone. Just don't touch your nice clothes with your freshly-painted nails, kids!

Wordless Wednesday: Children Caring for Children

You see it all over Malawi: small children carrying smaller children. Sometimes they're just helping mom and dad. But all too often, they're filling the roles of parents who are out of the picture for one reason or another.

Wordless Wednesday: Good Friends

“Two are better than one … if either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10)

Wordless Wednesday: Photos on the Wall

A lot of talented photographers go on short-term mission trips to our ministry sites, and we're fortunate that many of them share their pictures with us. These are a few of our favorites from one such trip to the Dominican Republic. In fact, some of these adorn our walls here at the COTN office.

We hope you like them as much as we do. Tell us what you think, in the comments section below.
