Biography

Denis comes from the village of Odokomil. Denis’s father died during a rebel attack in 2004 and his mother abandoned her children to return to Zaire (where she is from). His fourteen year old sister became the head of their household and looked after Denis along with one brother and two other sisters.

Denis is described as a well-behaved, responsible and friendly boy. He plays well with others and has
difficulty learning in school.
